Jelly |
Born 2001 |
| Jelly, a
7 year old female came to us from Oatland Island Educational Center when she was
a few days old. She was to be the future breeder at Wolf
Hollow; however, at a very young age, Jelly exhibited
behavior and personality that was not mother material.
It is and always has been all about her.
Jelly
lives alone and likes it that way. She has no use
for any of the four legged's who live here. Other
than Susana, Mal, Craig and Russ, whom she loves to
death, she could care less bout the rest of us.

Weeble |
Born 2001 |
| Weeble,
who is Jelly's brother, also came from the Oatland
Island Educational Center. He has risen up in the ranks
and is now our Alpha Male.
Weeble
loves the attention from staff and would spend a good
part of the day getting belly scratches from willing
fingers if he had his druthers. |

Osa |
Born 2005 |
| Osa
is a three year old female who came from Wolf Park in Battle Ground Indiana.
Osa is
extremely shy of strangers, but is very confident with
other wolves. Osa began to dominate her sister
Nina to a point that Nina's quality of life was
seriously diminished; therefore, we moved Osa out to her
own space. She, unlike Jelly, needs fulltime
companionship, so we gave her Bear to raise. |

|
| Bear is a story in
itself. Bear is not 100% wolf, he has a bit of dog in him.
Over the 18 years that we have been educating people, we have
tried to discourage hybrids as pets due to the fact that they
are not easy to raise and most are euthanized at a very young
age do to the inability of most folks who get them to have them
as house pets. Over the
years we have turned down hundreds of requests to take someone's
hybrid as they could no longer keep it for a variety of reasons.
Bear came to us at 3 months old.
The gentleman who got him realized, even at that young age, he
was not dealing with a house pet. Due to wild puppy
behavior and inability to train in many ways, he decided that it
was best to give him up.
We agreed to take Bear mostly so
Osa would have a |
|
Friend.
Being only three months old when we took him in, he has been
socialized to all of our staff and has been doing very well as a
companion to Osa.
Bear will NOT be siring any
puppies here and we hope that by having him here, we can
illustrated how hard it is to have a part wild, part domestic
animal and hopefully continue to discourage folks from becoming
hybrid owners. |

Nina |
Born 2005 |
| Nina has a much more self confident personality than her sister Osa. She will most likely become the future Alpha Female and future breeder at Wolf Hollow. She as well as her sister look so much like their Granddad Martin. |
